Just 5 Minutes…

I hope darn Greymatter doesn’t mess up. Lately, it’s been removing the music and mood fields, even if I type something in them. My emoticons don’t show up sometimes, even though I have GM set for them to show up always. Grr. Anyway…

Mario went and got his tooth fixed. He was eating catfish yesterday, bit down too hard and chipped his tooth. He was in pain. My teeth hurt just thinking about it! But yeah, his tooth looks normal again, thank goodness.

When he and Mary got back, Mario and I cleaned out all our rodents’ cages and then went with Mary, who was treating the boys and us to Peter Piper Pizza. We ate and then the boys played games. Jaylen only ever gets on the little car and bus ride. He was too cute…there was a little girl just sitting in the bus (he was in the car) and he gives me a token to put in so she could ride it…aww :). Eenan played games and after being there a while got a bit grouchy. Then Jaylen got grouchy so we decided it was time to go. We picked Mom up and Mario and I had a little argument since he didn’t want to drive all the way to Edinburg to see Gramma…but Mom and I ended up calling her on the phone and she’s doing well and was laughing at John’s jokes and everything. So that made us feel a bit better. I was mad at Mario up until we got here. Then he starts making faces and making me laugh. I hate that he can do that. I can’t be mad at him for as long as I’d like LOL. We started joking around then decided to watch a movie. Mary and Noelia invited us to go watch The Forgotten, but since we were mad at eachother and I didn’t want to ask Mom to watch the boys (even though she offered to), we didn’t go. I really wanted to see it! But we made some popcorn, opened up a lil can of nacho cheese (love to dip the popcorn in it!), got some baby pickles and some iced tea and watched The Princess Diaries 2. We didn’t really watch it…the children decided to run in front of the tv every 5 seconds and fight with eachother constantly, so it took an extra hour to watch it…but what I got to watch was OK. Not as awesome as I thought it’d be.

Gotta wash dishes, put the kids in bed and then get myself ready for bed. I’m going to the huge indoor flea market tomorrow :D. I’m so excited. We didn’t get to go last month since the flea market was the day we left to Florida, so I’m really looking foward to this. I’m even taking a few of the things I have on my For Sale page and HOPEFULLY I can sell or trade them. I had NO money what-so-ever, so Mario and I painted the doors and the last few things that needed to be done at the apartment yesterday and I made $20 :D! The new rentors already paid Mary the deposit and got their utilities connected. I think they’ll be great rentors (unlike the previous ones…).

Man, I’m tired. Going to bed at 12 and then waking up at 6:45 is catching up with me. Last night, I fell asleep at 9:30 and I woke up at 9 and I was STILL sleepy. *yawn*

Ah, Eenan!

So Eenan gets home from school and he’s crying. I ask him what’s wrong and Mario supresses a smile and says, “Tell your Mom why you’re grounded for a day Eenan.” I raise an eyebrow at Mario and I tell Eenan to calm down and explain. Between sobs, he says, “I kissed Christina in class”. I try not to smile and say, “WHAT?! You kissed a little girl in class?” He says yes. I ask him where did he kiss her. He says at one of their groups. I ask where. He points to the corner of his mouth and he says, “Here”. Aww LOL. We tell him there will be no more kissing. He was so freaked out that Miss Ortiz got after him and even more freaked out that we grounded him for getting in trouble so I don’t think there will be any more kissing LOL. It was so hard not to laugh. John was sitting on the couch behind me and I hear him squeal “Awww!” I glare at him…because as cute as I think it is, if Eenan hears us laughing or thinking it’s funny, then he’ll keep doing it.

They had the Kindergarten meeting tonight. Just to go over how important it was to help the kids out with homework, attendance and all that stuff. They even have a new policy on nutrition…which I think is way overdue. They have only nutritional snacks for them and when we bring them goodies during holidays and the like, there can only be 3 ounces of cake, 2 cookies and stuff like that. I need to get a list from the lady in charge of all that. Eenan loves for me to make cupcakes and goodies for his classmates, so I need to know what not to do LOL. He was so cute saying hi to all his classmates, and even kids that aren’t in his class that he knows. I was surprised when I heard him say, “Oh I don’t like that boy,” very loudly. We told him how that’s not nice and if there, for some reason, is someone he’s not too fond of then he needs to keep it to himself and not be mean.

I had a talk with the teacher about the whole kiss incident and she said she didn’t get to see, but just heard a bunch of kids screaming “They kissed!”. She said she had a talk with him and didn’t write him up or anything but she doesn’t think he’ll be doing it again. She said he’s a good kid and that he does really well with his work. I’m glad :). I’m glad he’s not getting into trouble all the time like last year. They have these end of the six weeks parties called Good Life Celebrations and we stressed how it’s really important for him to behave if he wants to participate. They have snacks and moon jumps and rides…heck, I even want to go!

I’ve been driving around all day. Just here around the neighborhood, but I’m feeling much more comfortable. Mom went with me once to the store and said, “You’re doing so good! You’ll be zooming around in a month.” Oh, I hope so *crosses fingers*. It’s about time I started driving! I drove Mario to the store later and even he said I did good :). He was all sarcastic saying, “Whatever, just ’cause you can drive now,” everytime I told him something LOL.

Tomorrow’s yet another day we have to drive Mom somewhere. We have to take her to that incredibly crowded doctor’s office. We have no idea how we’re gonna do it with picking up the kids. I hope we get to see Gramma too. *sigh*

Gonna watch 13 Going on 30. G’nite!

Starting Over…Again

So…here I am, starting my blog from scratch again. I could have shot myself when I deleted my Greymatter folder yesterday. Yes, I deleted the darn thing *smacks forehead*. I guess I should mention *why* I deleted it…

Welp, I was going to try and reinstall my Guestbook…but felt lazy and didn’t want to completely install it again. So, I had my guestbook backed up from before my hosting went down the last time, and I just uploaded it all. It wasn’t working–had a whole bunch of internal server errors and I realize “Damn, I don’t have the CHMOD numbers…” so I deleted the guestbook files from my cgi folder. Only, I didn’t just delete the guestbook files, I deleted all of Greymatter .

I almost died. I was quick and saved my 7-8 entries I’d written up since I got the site back up and thank God too because when I reinstalled Greymatter and rebuilt my files, all the archives were gone. I was so pissed that my templates were back to the originals–it took me forever to fix them the last time. Granted, the templates still don’t look the way I wanted them too…and my smilies aren’t clickable (nor do I even think they’ll show up at all), but at least I can blog. Please remind me not to do anything stupid like that again, kthx.

I put all my archives for this month in my journal entries page, since I got two anonymous form mails asking where the old archives for this month were.

We went to see Gramma after we picked Mom up on Saturday. John finally went with us. The rehabilitation/nursing home is all the way in Edinburg…super far from where we live. It was tough getting there since there was a thunderstorm…we could barely see anything in front of the car. The kids were so scared they ended up falling asleep, poor things.

Gramma was really happy to see us . She’s doing well, thank goodness. I was a bit worried about her lip…the bottom one looked a bit swollen for some reason. I’m starting to think what Mom and Aunt Nora were saying is true…that she may have had a mild stroke when she got sick . I fed her while we were there, and we just talked and caught up. She was so happy to see John…I noticed she lit up when she saw him. We only stayed for about 45 minutes, but I’m glad we got to see her. At this place, we may be able to bring the boys…she’ll be thrilled to see them .

Got word from Aunt Nora today that she’ll be at that nursing home for about 22-25 days for some reason. She was supposed to be moved to the one that’s closer to where we live, but I have no idea what’s going on. Aunt Nora said the lady didn’t even know what she was talking about when she asked if Gramma was going to be transferred yet. It’s gonna be tough going to see her .

Yesterday, we went to Yazmin’s birthday get-together. Her choice of dinner was Pizza Hut pizza, and she wanted a Strawberry Cake and flan. Yum .

Since Eenan had been staying up a little later than usual the past few nights, he had a really hard time falling asleep last night. He didn’t fall asleep till 11:30! When Mario picked him up today, the teacher told him he’d been falling asleep in the morning and again when he was waiting to be picked up. He was exhausted when he got home, but I didn’t let him nap. He ate dinner tonight, I gave him a shower, he brushed his teeth, I read them 3 stories and then he was out like a light. Mustn’t let him stay up late anymore…not even on the weekends!

This morning, we took John to the dentist to get his 4 wisdom teeth pulled. He was miserable at first, but he quickly cheered up and had minimal pain. Thank goodness. I thought it was going to be so much worse. A nurse called to check up and she said the swelling would be at it’s worst on the 3rd day. I hope he recovers well, and soon. It’s the last week of their grading period at school!

Mario’s at Eddie’s right now. I wanted to watch a movie before we went to sleep but I think I’m gonna call it a night. We watched Paparazzi a few nights ago. It was pretty cool. I want to watch A Cinderella Story next .
