Jaded

I’m so…bored. Usually I love weekends and not having to do anything but I’ve felt so crappy all day. I really need to get some new books to read.

What book are you reading, or have you read, that just blew your mind? I need suggestions!

We went to Peter Piper Pizza for Brandon’s party. I actually had fun. The kids were actually quite delightful and had a blast playing games. Jaylen had 156 tickets. When we turned them in, the guy in charge of giving out the prizes gave us 2 150 point stuffed dogs. He saved me…had Eenan seen Jaylen get a dog and not him, he would have had a fit for sure!

Other than that, I’ve been here at home, cleaning and watching a marathon of America’s Next Top Model. Usually, I’d be laying on the couch, loving this show. Everything seems like such a rerun and a bore lately though.

As for the baby thing…I brought it up to Mario because of a horoscope I’d seen. I read the horoscope and that’s all I could think of. I became really in love with the idea of having another baby soon, since I don’t want all the kids to be super far apart in age. Well, he said no and I felt bad. But after making a mental list of pros and cons, the cons won out and I realized we are indeed not ready. (Especially since the night I brought it up, Jaylen was extra clingy and I realized that wouldn’t be a good thing with a newborn.) Well, last night, after, uh, doing the deed without protection (I was out of birth control and Mary barely went to Mexico this morning) I started freaking out thinking, “WHAT IF I GET PREGNANT!?”

It’s safe to say I probably am not, since the last two times I got knocked up it took 6 and then 3 months to get pregnant. Needless to say, it’s going to be a stressful month until I get my period again .

Well, this entry’s just all over the place, isn’t it?

+ & –

Negatives:

  • It’s 6:15pm and we’re home on a Friday night.
  • We were going to go to the Christmas parade in McAllen, but Mario “doesn’t like parades” so we came back. He ruined my whole day.
  • Since we came back, we didn’t go to Penny’s to get Mario’s ring resized. Idiot.
  • I have to do laundry.
  • My bi-polarism kicked in last night (yes, I’m bi-polar. Runs in the family. I hide it well.) and I cried for no reason at all in the bathroom.
  • I brought up having another baby sometime soon to Mario and he said we’re not ready. I felt so rejected :(.
  • Jaylen’s been in a horrible mood all day.
  • I still don’t know what to get my Secret Santa person.
  • I have a headache.

Positives:

  • It’s Friday.
  • Got a 102 on my Final for Accounting. I expected MUCH worse. Thank God for bonus questions.
  • Mario had a side-job today and made some extra money. We’re not broke anymore.
  • I sold Eddie’s last jump drive. I made a profit of $5. Go me.
  • Rolando gave me a pink rose after school. It was a nice surprise. Pink stands for friendship, mmk? It was hilarious when Mario called him my Secret Sancho.
  • I got the kids a s’mores snack kit. Sounds like something cool to do right about now.

*disco dances*

Good day today. Did not a thing in class. Nothing but chatting on Yahoo with everyone, which was fun. We do, however, need to study for our final in Accounting tomorrow. God help us all.

I’m about to go and pick up my rings. I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally wear that ring on my finger!

Quote of the day:

John: What does ostracize mean?
silence
Me: …I know! It’s when an ostrich is exercising. You know, like jazzercising?

That’s got to be the most airheaded thing I’ve said in my life.

OKAY. I think what Eenan just said beats that “Quote of the Day.”

He says, “Mom, you look like a teenager.”

I say, “Yeah, because I’m short.”

He comes up to me to measure himself against me and I say, “You’ll be taller than me by the time you’re in 5th grade!”

He looks a bit annoyed and says, “Mom, stand up!”

I’m silent for a bit, trying to register what my child just said and I squeal, “I AM standing up!”

Ah. Someone else to add to the short jokes.

[edit 8:34pm] I got them! Mario might have to have his resized AGAIN, but they’re beautiful :).

We did a bit of shopping (Mom, Noelia and I), since we had to wait an extra hour and a half since they weren’t ready. I hope they don’t take too long after we take Mario’s back in. He was kind of upset about how big it fit :(.[/edit]
