The Beginning of Ultra-Nesting

I saw Mario off to work and then started tidying up here and there. I had a whole to-do list and it just seemed like it was impossible that everything’s going to get done. After lunch, John came over and I asked him to tag along with me and Alaethia to Hancock Fabrics. I’d started the morning by putting her in training pants and letting her walk around and use the potty everytime I had to go (which was often), but then she peed in the kitchen so we just took a break, heh.

I wanted to get the other valance done for my kitchen and I ran out of fabric. I hoped I’d find the right fabric; I’d gotten it back in November when the autumn colors were popular and wasn’t sure if I’d find it again.

It took forever to get there because first I got off the wrong exit, then I couldn’t remember how to turn around and find Business 83, and then I couldn’t remember if we were supposed to go East or West on Old 83. Grr. Needless to say, I had to rush and find some fabric (they didn’t have the one I wanted so I picked another stripey fabric that’s still cute) and still get to the school on time to pick up the boys. Alaethia didn’t make the end of the trip easy, either. Someone took her to town with them once (and I WILL find out who it was!) and let her sit in the basket part instead of the actual seat. Well, she made a big fuss when I wouldn’t let her out of the seat. It was awful. We finally gave in and told her she’d better sit before she fell out. So she did.

We picked up the boys and then John went to the bank while I got the boys started on their homework. I needed to go to Target and Walmart and Alaethia was already tired so the kiddos all stayed with Mom.

We went to Target first and then went to Walmart. Mario met us there since I wanted his opinion on what toddler bed to get Alaethia. We couldn’t find anything we liked. I really wish we could find a bed like the one the boys had. It was that hard Fisher-Price-type plastic and it was really cute. We’d sold it at a garage sale we had when Alaethia was around 4 months old because her crib turns into a daybed and full sized bed…and we didn’t think we’d have anymore babies LOL.

After we got home, put everything away and had dinner, we went over to Jorge’s. Mom offered to stay with Alaethia, so that was good since the time we’d gone over with her before she kept spilling stuff and was moody. I think this was the second time going over to their house since they moved into Jorge’s mom’s house.

We chilled out with Jorge, Javi and Maggie while the guys tried their hardest to make the internet work. At the same time, Jorge was transferring a whole butt-load of movies from his computer to Mario’s external. We were going to have movie nights for a month!

Quickest Shopping Trip in History

I dragged John and Mario to go with me to town to exchange the felt bags I’d bought at Target and search for pails or cute jars or something to complete the centerpieces. Actually, Mario had been busy and he’d kind of ignored me when I said I was leaving so John and I left. He calls when I’m putting gas in the truck at Aziz and says, “You leave without Petrie?” LOL So back I go. The only reason he really wanted to go was because we were going to Kumori for lunch.

We get to Target and as we’re walking towards customer service I see the cutest white pails with pastel hearts on them. Mario returned the bags while I searched for the pails. I got the only 6 pails they had. We paid and immediately went to L.A. Imports and bought 2 more Care Bear cubs for the centerpieces. I went across the street to the other L.A. Imports and bought some iridescent basket grass to stuff in the pails with the Bears. The guys were really surprised (and relieved) that I was done so quickly. They were quite happy to make it to Kumori. We ordered some extra rolls this time, the Venus rolls and they were pretty good. I need to start ordering rolls other than my Fiesta Rolls (even though they are my favorite).

We chilled out the rest of the day. Alaethia was playing with her girlie toys; such a different and beautiful thing to see!

Shopping & Scrapbooking

We woke up late again due to being up all night watching movies. Big Mario had already given the boys breakfast, which was awesome and no wonder that they didn’t wake us up for food.

I cleaned some more and did laundry most of the day. Mario washed all the cars and bathed the dog. We all got ready and dropped Mom off at H-E-B so she could do her grocery shopping in peace and we went to Long John Silver’s with the kiddos for a late lunch. Alaethia was a bit moody, but I blame that on the cold that was still sort of lingering. When we were done eating we went to Target and had a mini shopping spree. Very mini, because I didn’t find the curtains I needed another pair of for my bedroom, nor did we get the rug for Alaethia’s room. She still had the boys’ Home Depot City rug they’d play with their Hotwheels on.

We did get the 500gig external for $77.77, but it wasn’t the actual one that was in the ad. I’d called before we’d gone over and asked if they had any available and the girl in electronics said yes, there were plenty. I explained that we lived far away and it would still be a while till we’d get over there, and can one be held for us. She said there was no need, there were plenty. It always happens that when I need to know the name of the person I spoke to, I don’t ask for it. Grr.

Well, when we were looking for the external there were NONE. I was so pissed, but I kept my temper. The guy helping us was actually really sweet and got a manager on the phone and everything. The manager was going to come talk to us, but he was so busy he just told the guy to go ahead and let me pick another harddrive that was the same size, whichever brand I wanted. So we got a thin WD harddrive :).

We picked Mom up and then chilled out at home. I actually got a chance to scrapbook a page at night. I’m almost due to give birth to Emily and I was barely finishing up Alaethia’s page from when I was pregnant with her. I have so much scrapbooking to catch up with, just like Flickr and my blog!

Adan showed up here, drunk as a skunk. He chilled out while Mario and I started moving stuff from my old external (which’ll now be Mario’s) into my new 500gig. Then Mario took him to pick up his ticket, which he’d left at work. I don’t know how on earth he managed to drive himself home in the first place. How dangerous! Mario was supposed to be in bed early since he was dropping Adan off at the airport the next morning, but of course, my husband doesn’t know what “early” means, heh.
