Today my first born child turned 6. 6 years ago today I was in labor for 31 hours LOL. I can’t believe he’s 6 already ! He’s so big already; time passes by way too quickly.

Mario and I gave him his gift from us and the one from Mom. We got him a Pokemon Ruby game for his Gameboy SP and Mom got him a Pokemon toy (he’s still VERY into Pokemon…longest going obsession so far). He was thrilled. Since the son that isn’t having a birthday tends to feel left out, we always get him a present, too, so we got Jaylen 2 Ninja Turtle toys.

Since Elda and the boys and Tommy aren’t here (they went to Arizona to pack the rest of their stuff) and Mario didn’t have the day off, we’ll be celebrating his birthday next week on Sunday. Today, we took him to the movies to watch The Fantastic Four, which was okay, and then we went to Peter Piper Pizza where all the kids played. He had fun. We got back and had some chocolate cake Mary made and we sang him Happy Birthday and he blew out his candles. Mary gave him his gift from her and Big Mario, which was Metroid Prime Echoes, or Echo, one of those. I hope he had a good day. We usually celebrate at Gorilla George’s, which is his favorite place ever, but the darn place is closed while they relocate . He’s playing his game right now so I think he’s having a pretty good time .

School’s been going pretty good. Learn something new everyday and it’s really easy. One of the guys in our class had asked me during one of our breaks, “Can I ask you something?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“How fast do you type?”

“Um. I’m really not sure. Why do you ask?”

“Because I’m doing my work and all I hear is ‘DRRRRRRRRRRRRRR’ and I look around and it’s always you.”

That made me feel pretty good *beams*. I love typing!

I feel so tired. I can’t sleep during the week when I have school, yet last night I slept so well. It’s making me get really irritated . I actually took a nap yesterday for about 45 minutes. Mario called in, *tsk* *tsk*. We went grocery shopping and rented movies and we actually stayed within our budget! Next month is when I start paying one of my school loans so that’s gonna suck. It’s 10…gotta wake up early tomorrow and go to Mexico with the mom-in-law to buy the candies and Piñata for Eenan’s party next week. Then we have to go to Mom’s for a bit. Then I hope I can go to sleep early for school the next day.

I woke up at 5:45 yesterday but I had the alarm set for 6. My stomach was churning and I thought, “Oh no, I’ve caught some kind of bug!”, but it was actually just nerves. I got ready within 20 minutes, so I had 40 minutes to wait. I watched the news and just grew more and more nervous. I said my “I love you’s” to Mario and the boys and then I left. I was actually really nervous for Mario too, as he’s never had to get ready “alone” but one other time, and he ended up forgetting his lunch, couldn’t find his belt and other little annoyances for him.

The expressway was actually really calm and I got to school by 7:24. We were to meet at 8, so I waited. When I saw my advisor get there, I went ahead and went in. As soon as I walked through the door I see another girl waiting and I say, “Hi!”. She smiled, said hi back, and we just started talking. I was so relieved I met someone nice LOL. Her name’s Lucy, and she’s pretty cool. Her commute to work’s actually longer than mine, which surprised me. There was a total of 5 of us yesterday and we joined the other group of CBS (computer business systems) students who’d already been there a month. AND I’m not the oldest in the class either. Most of the students are 18-19, but there’s a handful of 22-24 year olds .

We were supposed to have orientation, but I guess they forgot about us because we ended up doing nothing and just talking most of the 4 hours. It’s pretty cool because we get a break every hour for 10 minutes. Time passes by pretty quickly. We’ll be starting on Microsoft Word for the next 20 days and we had our first assignment yesterday, which was just writing down terms and finding their definitions.

I stopped by Mario’s work after school since he wanted to know how it went and I had the cell phone. As I expected, he ended up forgetting his lunch at home and poor thing had cereal for breakfast, which he ISN’T used to LOL.

I’m so happy that I probably won’t be having homework much (maybe except for when we start PowerPoint and have to do presentations…ack!) and can do everything I need to do at home. Even had time to bake some banana bread yesterday! It was awesome…I’ll be posting the recipe soon . Didn’t get to see Mario for too long last night since he got home from work late, but at least I can stay up on the weekends and spend more time with him .

I was much less nervous today. Woke up at 6:10 even! Left at 7:15 and I still got there super early…at 7:33 in fact, and I drove the speed limit. Some cunt almost made me ram into her since I was going 65 (the speed limit) and she was going 45 and creeped into my lane…grr!

A new girl, Ricci, started today and she lives less than a mile away from me. The group of us that started during this session are all pretty friendly with eachother. I think everyone’s nice so far :).

We’re starting with the basics, which is actually pretty boring, but there are some students who don’t know anything about Word, period. We’ve got a really good teacher; she explains everything in detail, so I’m hoping when we start the math courses I won’t have as much trouble as I thought I would. With all three assignments that we did today, I was one of, if not the first, to finish. I am so loving this class. I’ve got no problem with typing for 3 hours :D. AND we get to get out early, too. We got out at 11:30 yesterday and today!

Gotta clean up, yet again, before this place turns into a pig-stye and it becomes overwhelming. THEN I have to paint those darn Yu-gi-oh’s for Eenan’s party. I’ve only completely painted ONE!

Today started out…not so good. After the very sweet and touching entry I wrote about how loving my husband is, we got into a fight. I won’t go into details, but I ended up smacking him with a handful of the pretty flowers he got me. Yeah, it got that bad. A lot of the flowers survived though, heh. I still feel bad I took it out on the flowers .

Anyway, I was pissed at him most of the day and he kept trying to make peace, but I wasn’t having it. I was just that mad. Eventually, I eased up a bit and we started talking. We left around 1:30 to pick up money from Mom to pay for her storage unit. Then we got some drinks and drove to the school where I had my appointment at 2:30.

The appointment went well. Things happened so fast–I started thinking, “What did I get myself into??”. I officially start school on July 26th. I’ll be attending classes for 9 months from 8am to 12pm. I should graduate April 2006. I hope everything works out. Since it’s a private school and “basics” aren’t required, we’re going to be paying a lot out of our own pocket, but Mario assures me we can do it. I don’t think I would have gone through with it if he didn’t keep reassuring me that things would be okay. One of the perks is that I get a Blackberry LOL. It makes me nervous just *thinking* about having to drive through heavy traffic over there though. Tonight, Mario, John, Noelia, Jaylen and I (Eenan was with Mary, as always) went to the mall. I drove. I can now say that yes, I LOATHE getting off at that exit and quickly turning into the mall. People are so damn aggressive when they’re driving!

Tomorrow, I have so many calls to make. We have to figure out who’s going to be watching the kids for us while Mario’s at work and while I’m at school, which is most likely going to be Mom. We need to figure out how to pay her and all that. I also have to reschedule an appointment I missed and I have to call and check if my scholarship’s still good (it’s only $500, but hey, it’s something right?). John has a physical at 11am for his insurance, then at 12:30 we’re going to go pick up Mario’s paycheck at work and deposit for him. I’m nervous about that since it’s in a very busy part of town and it’s going to be during lunch…oy.

At 2, I have my appointment to sign the rest of the papers and all that junk at the school. I’m still in disbelief that I just jumped into this. I didn’t think I’d start this soon! I was really excited about it, but now I’m just really scared. What if we can’t do it financially?? We’ve got so many bills to pay this paycheck…it’s a bit overwhelming. Mario also needs to get the Prelude fixed so I can keep the Sentra for school. Ugh…I hope everything works out and falls into place. I’ve got such mixed feelings about this now!

*breathes* I can do this. We can do this.

As for Mario’s jaw…he’s got a strained ligament. He’s on meds for the swelling and pain and is only allowed to eat foods he can “slurp” basically. Poor dude.

Gonna go finish filling out my Financial Aide papers. I have a headache.
