How to Scare the Crap Out of a Married Woman
I just got the strangest call from Maggie. What she told me made me feel…scared. My stomach turned and my knees feel weak and my back hurts.
Maggie: Hey!
Me: Hey!
Maggie: Are you coming over?
Me: Um, no? Mario didn’t tell me anything?!
Maggie: Oh. He already left?
Me: Yeah, I mean, he left to Eddie’s. I think?
Maggie: Oh ok. I just thought you all were coming over.
Me: No. I haven’t seen you in forever!
Maggie: I know. Have you heard anything?
Me: *stomach flips* Uh, no. About?
Maggie: Well…I don’t know how to say it…
Me: What?? Tell me!!
Maggie: Um…I’ll call you right back.
*5 minutes later. Literally.*
Those are words a married woman never wants to hear. Mrs. C-R and the rest of us were talking about just that when we had Mayra’s party on Tuesday.
That scared the shit out of me for nothing. My hands are still shaking! She just wanted to know if I knew about some new girl that worked where Mario and Jorge work, but there isn’t a new girl after all. Hiram was just acting all weird when Maggie asked him about it, which I find to be completely strange. We got to talking about how the girls that DO work there just leave us on hold when we call to talk to our husbands. Man that pisses me off. She also said she’s been receiving private calls, which is so bizarre since I received one yesterday right after I got out of school. I seriously don’t like the shady bitches that work there
