The Laziest of Saturdays
Yesterday was a weird day for me. Work was slow. I was an emotional basketcase. Mario picked up Emily since it’s his weekend with the kids and I was just bored out of my mind and missing the kids. I waited for Jorge and the boys to get home and kept myself busy by cleaning our bathroom. Jorge told me about some issues that came up and it just dampened my mood a little more. We picked up some Papa Murphy’s pizza (again) when he got here and I had the brilliant idea to get a Pepsi. I haven’t drank soda in…about a year? Over that, maybe. I was rebelling against myself I guess and had the damn soda. Regretted it immediately!
Sometime after going for the pizza and actually baking the pizza we bickered. We have the exact same attitude and once one gets fired up, the other does, too. I ignored him a while, which he hates LOL, but he came to apologize and we made up. We were both so stressed we took it out on each other. We had company over, but I was so tired I just fell asleep early.
And then slept in somewhat. I got a phone call and woke up, just as the boys were getting up and turning on the Xbox. I made us some breakfast (eggs) and then I sat at the dining room table, had a cup of coffee and browsed through Pinterest and Facebook. (Thank you, Erin B., for the invite!! I’d been wanting a Pinterest account for a while now!
)
I tried not feeling guilty as I sat there, pinning and commenting. I kept thinking I should be cleaning and then I told myself that it’s ok. I never, ever just sit and do absolutely nothing. So I did. And I loved it!
I did get up to whip up some lunch and later to sort laundry and clean up my bedroom. It seems like I can never keep up with the darn laundry! My ironing board was lost under clean clothes!
My love called for me to pick him up, so I did. He sounded terrible. He got a sore throat and was quickly getting worse. Didn’t stop him from giving me a smooch on the mouth, so if I get sick I know who to blame
.
We cuddled a bit and then went to get some ingredients for dinner. He wanted me to make him a soup since he was feeling sick. We started talking about taking our comforters to get dry-cleaned and then we figured it would probably be cheaper to get a new one, heh. We detoured to Ross, found nothing within what we were willing to spend, so we decided to wait. We ended up with two really cute pillows, though, that were on clearance :). Too bad we couldn’t find any more!

Makes a big difference! I stole the vase from the other side table and voila! Beautiful! We saw a really nice blue vase at Ross that I hope to go back for to take up the space on the other table.
We went to HEB and as always, spent more than we planned to. But at least it was on groceries. We got home, I chopped veggies and Jorge cooked the caldo. It was SO GOOD. It may not seem like it, but there were a ton of veggies in there!

The plan for tomorrow is: clean and rearrange the bedroom. And to find some time before Emmy comes home to be as lazy as possible :).

Your posts make me hungry! 😉 What is Pinterest exactly? Looks cool.
Darn thing, I thought I’d already replied to this comment! Sorry, Diana!
Pinterest is where you can “pin” all your favorite pics with links to the original site/article. You can categorize them by “pinboards”. It’s awesome and quite addicting! Let me know if you need an invite :).
