More About Rita & School Stuff
Thank you so much to all who were concerned about the hurricane; I was really touched
. It seems like we’ll be doing just fine–it’s going more northeast. I feel bad for whoever’s in it’s path, though. It’s such a strong hurricane and it seems like it’s also going towards Louisiana. I wish it didn’t have to go that way…they don’t need another disaster like this
.
I’m glad Texas was prepared. Whether they learned from Katrina or were already prepared is beyond me, but I’m glad most people took it seriously and evacuated. I was surprised by how long it took people to get to their destinations. They were stuck for a day and a half in traffic, some.
And that bus…there was a bus carrying elderly evacuees and it caught fire. They think at least 20 people are dead
. Why do these things have to happen?
I’m in class right now. I finished our Database assignment yesterday, which was making up a hospital, 10 doctors, their specialties and all that stuff, and 30 patients and ALL their info. That’s what took forever, what coming up with addresses, names and phone numbers. And well, the diseases and all that. I actually went and researched the doctor’s salaries and diseases they cure. Romeo, for example, came up with lovely things like “ugly face”, “severed rectum”, “leaky boobs” and “funky smell” (for the gynecologist)
.
I’mmmm bored. I wonder what we’re going to do today.

These natural disasters are really a tragedy but I’m so glad to hear everything’s alright! 🙂 And thanks for your super-sweet comment–it made my rather dreary day. We were in Waterloo Station yesterday and guess what I saw? I think it was a huge poster of the sixth Harry Potter book. I took a picture. It was glorious. 🙂 <3!

Thanks for your comments. I do what I have to do for my child and although its hard I know that I have to give him a much better life than I had. Mine was great, but I know that his could be better. We all had rough times in between all the great ones!
I haven’t seen Mayra in a long time. How is she? Have you always known her?

It’s so sad that so many natural disasters are destroying so many lives lately. And the bus accident is a shame, 20 people dead… it just makes my heart stop.
Databasing is quite simple, especially with Access. I enjoyed putting all the information into it and creating links between different databases… but they provided the info for us, so I suppose that’s a reason for why I didn’t fall asleep. See ya soon. x
