A Plea for Help…With PowerPoint

My final is on Wednesday. We are to make 15 slides, dress professionally, and really treat this as if we’re presenting in an office full of people we don’t know. We just did our last group presentation today, which was on the “Advantages of Having an Education”. I hope we did okay–we had good eye contact and didn’t read too much off the screen, so I’m hoping for something over a 95. On our first group presentation, we got a 93 . For my own personal one, the one I did on Care Bears, I got pretty good critiques from the class, except for one that said ‘no comment’ (which I appreciate) and one that said, “Make it stop! No more, no more! Boring!”, by a guy who isn’t very good at presenting and did his personal one on Mariachis that I personally didn’t care for but wasn’t a bitch about.

So, that’s where you guys, my readers, come in. I was going to make a presentation on my boys, but would someone want to know? Would anyone care?

What would YOU want to hear about? What’s interesting to you? What are some interesting topics you’d like to hear about?

Please leave your thoughts/suggestions in the comments. I’ll appreciate this more than you’ll ever know.

And on a last note, please forgive my absence from the ‘net lately. School and home-life is seriously all I have time for these days .

My mom did a presentation for school not too long ago about the affects that chocolate has on the body (and specifically how its related to love). You can bring in some hershey kisses (or maybe different kinds of chocolate chips – milk, semi-sweet, dark, etc) to give out. It sounded like a pretty neat presentation. 🙂 Hopefully you’ll find something you’d like to do it on. Good luck! I never really comment, but youre on my favorites list and i read every update. 🙂 my host is currently messed up and i can’t get to my server to upload stuff, but sooner or later when its back to normal I’ll have your link added to my regulars list for sure. Take care!

Well, maybe just the basic info first, names, ages, bdays. Then something about their daily life, what are they favourite things to do and so on.. also some photos from the time they were babies to this current moment? I know how painful a simple powerpoint assignment can be. I’ve done two of those at my school too. Good luck with it! 🙂

see i’m not a good person to ask that question. what i’d wanna hear about is horses & such. but it’s very hard to present on a subject in which you aren’t fully 100% with. i wish i could be more help for you hunni!

I’ve been so busy too, cept it’s been socially.

I’d love to to a presentation on your boys, but I find that srt of restricting. Why not your family, those close to you and such. Family and friends. Or, a day in your life? Something that wont be short, but wont require a ton of research.

well, I wouldn’t mind hearing about ur boys, but if you really wanna make people go oooooh, you gotta teach ’em something new about the world that effects them. I did a presentation in 11th grade on computer implants and, although the presentation sucked, everyone loved it. but I had like 3 months to prepare for that…
I agree with Amber, a lot of people are interested in webdesign. you can even take it a step further and talk about the evils of IE

Well PERSONALLY I would like to see something about Shakira but that’s just me. 😉 I would also LOVE to see a presentation about your boys! I don’t know what else to suggest, but whatever you go with will be great!

I am glad that you have good grades. You worked hard and you earned them, so you deserve them. I can’t really come up with any ideas for that either. I would probably do it on my cutie. You could also do it on your many talents of web design. That would be pretty interesting! I also have no time for web stuff. I have tons to do for school and Frederick needs luv and attention too. I do have seconds to check out my 4-5 fave sites almost everyday. I make time for this even when I shouldn’t be wasting time. LOL!

Yeah me too girl – my life is very busy right now (working 40 hrs/wk and taking 17 hours in school). Don’t be upset w/ the 93 – that’s an A! As for your presentation, you could do lots of things. It depends on what kind of presentation it is (sorry if I’ve missed this part), like informative, persuasive, etc. Do something you’re passionate about – that always gets good grades because it’s obvious you’ve put time into it. I’m fresh out of ideas though, sorry. Either way, I know you’ll do great : )
