Better With You
This entry was started on Friday, September 9th, finished on September 12th. I never had a chance to revise and upload!
[Friday, September 3rd]
I have about 25 minutes left of my lunch hour so let’s see how much I can get typed up about the last week, heh.
I left off on Friday, the 3rd. It was SO HOT that day. Work was work. Michelle and I got permission from the bosses to hit up Starbucks. She had to get a gift card for a co-worker and I got myself a tall Tazo Passion tea with lemonade since we were already there, heh. I figured it was way too hot for any kind of caffeinated drink.

I was still in a kind of gloomy mood and even moreso since the kids would be with Mario that weekend. The first Art Walk was on Friday night so Mom and I went over there for a little bit. She got me a super cute sushi ring and I got a Hello Kitty resin ring for myself. I also went ahead and scouted a few artists for one of my upcoming events ;).

And of course I immediately had “buyers remorse” as soon as I walked away from the Hello Kitty table. I can seriously never just buy myself anything without wanting to run back and return it right away. (When I told Jorge later, “I can’t believe I spent $10 on this ring! I could have bought groceries with this. Or a dress from Ross for work!” He laughed and gently joked, “Oooh, you spent $10! Oh no, how will we ever make it to our next paycheck!” LOL. I eventually began to love the ring again.)
I also got some cute Angry Birds keychains for each of the boys and some headbands for the girls :).
My babe and I’d had a little disagreement about an hour before and he called me while I was at the fair. I started it, I admit it. I slowly tried making peace with him and him with me. We were still a little cautious and awkward with each other when we got home, you know how it goes, heh. His boys asked me to sit and watch a movie with them so I did and he did his crossword puzzle on the iPad out on the porch. I joined him outside later and we took turns with the crossword. By the end of the night, we laid in bed and exchanged a kiss on the tip of the nose, wrapped our arms around the other’s neck and simultaneously whispered, “I don’t like fighting with you”. And that was that; like nothing had happened :). I love that
!
The boys left for dove hunting the next morning so I started a load of laundry and tidied up here and there. I walked into my bathroom and saw the cardboard box that I’d kicked out of my closet when I’d brought back my scrapbook drawers and the bins with my albums from John’s apartment the day before (finally!). I decided I shouldn’t procrastinate and organized my closet while I had a chance. That took me a while, especially with Ruffles in the way every 5 seconds >_<. But I finished, and it's organized and all my scrapbooking supplies are within reach and my photo albums are safe from the heat :). I finished up and remembered I had to pay bills and deposit at the bank; so I got ready and ran my errands. I may have gone grocery shopping, I forget now. Oh yes, I did! We got some corn-on-the cob, which was on sale, and I thought it would be awesome for the BBQ we would surely have once Jorge and the boys collected enough doves from their hunts on Saturday and Sunday :). I also bought us some Pecan Sandies...because we'd decided that we were starting P90X, and would cut WAY down on the junk food. So of course, whenever I start a new workout routine, I have my traditional Binge Fest!! I can't remember much else from the day. I made pork fillets for dinner with a side of salad that night and thankfully I made the whole tray of meat, because the boys and my babe got 2nds and 3rds LOL. The hunters were mighty tired and hungry LOL. We had a lazy morning the next day and had our traditional Sunday omelet ♥. We had a few hours to kill before we took the Insanity Fit Test, just to see where we were at physically. John had come over to visit and I downloaded songs for Mom while John surfed the web, the boys were watching TV in the living room and Jorge was doing his crosswords on the iPad. The only thing missing to make that a perfect morning was my babies, who were at Mario's still :(. Man, I hate that :'(. We brought out the Pecan Sandies and I was totally prepared to have my Binge (which, now that I recall, I tried having with Oreos and I ate a total of THREE and the kids ate the rest LOL.) and I, once again, had about 3 LOL. I'm not good at the junk-food binging anymore; my waistline must be thrilled! We did a few more crosswords and then: DUN DUN DUN!! It was time for the fit test. We did pretty good considering we've worked out very little the past year. I get on the treadmill every once in a while, but I wouldn’t say it’s an actual work out. I was feeling a little queasy from jumping all over the place and probably from eating those sandies, so I told Jorge maybe I should skip hunting. He’d asked me to go the day before and I wasn’t looking forward to sitting in 107 degree weather, but he really wanted me to go and his cute, pouty face made me change my mind. So, with trembling baby-deer legs after the work out, we showered and got ready to go.
We met Jr. at his house, grabbed some Subway for lunch and met with their uncle in Cuevitas. It was extremely hot, but it was worth sitting in the heat watching Jorge spending time with the boys. He kept missing his shots, and blamed it on me making him nervous LOL. But he eventually got back into it.
Since it was Labor Day the next day, Mario was keeping Emily, grrr. We went back home around 7 since I didn’t have to be home at 6 =\. We went shopping for some last-minute stuff for the BBQ and for being so last-minute, it was some DARN GOOD food! I had to invite Michelle over :).

My babe left on a training that week. It was supposed to be a quick one and then turned into 3 days and then he ended up having to leave on Wednesday till Sunday :(. We’d been away from each other before, but not for that long. It was torture for both of us. We even set up our Qik accounts, Google cam accounts and I went to buy a mic since my darn laptop doesn’t have one
. So we kept in touch as best as we could; he even called me once during lunch and I got to “see” him hehe.
My middle school reunion was that weekend (the 9th) and I was excited for all my buddies to meet Jorge, but he couldn’t go, obviously :(. I bought a blouse and met the old Terrier crew at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was a nice reunion. Too bad Sally wasn’t there =\.
I didn’t stay long, I was amazed I’d stayed awake till 11pm. I got home and all my little darlings were strewn all over the sofas, it was the cutest thing. I let them be and called my babe before going to bed :).
The next day was a busy one for us. I took the girls to the library, where they got a whole plethora of new books. All of us visited Gramma and then we got home and I was volunteered by Alaethia to sew a new dress for her dolly, since hers was missing. It took forever, because I was too lazy to get the sewing machine out, but once I DID it was a breeze, heh.

I hadn’t spoken much to Jorge other than an update here and there by text to let us know his ETA. The girls and I picked him up from work and then went to HEB (where we ran into Michelle and Rosie!) to pick up some stuff for a BBQ to go along with his football game :). It felt so nice to have him back :)!!
He invited a few friends over and we had a great night. The next morning was even better; Emily woke up early and didn’t cry when we left for work! She was so sweet and lovely and ate her cereal and sweetly waved at us and said she loved us. My babe and I drove to work together (aww, I miss that!) and I got to meet him for lunch (El Terco!) and then we went to Kumori with Emmos for dinner! Hadn’t been there in forever! He watched his MNF game and Emily was just the sweetest girl in the world :).

I swear, I could explode from happiness sometimes!!
