Just got out of work and I’m waiting…so I figured I’d update. The last time I updated was the night before a court date…and I got no results. My brand-new lawyer didn’t show up, just as I knew he wouldn’t. So I had to get an extension. I hate this crap. I still can’t believe how everything’s turned out. But they won’t win, I promise you.

Work is great, at least. I was temping and I got hired permanently this Monday. Been there a month and a half and I love it and the people :).

And my Emily is gorgeous as ever and super smart and adorable :). She’s 18 months now and at the sponge stage, heh. She’s learning EVERY word we say, so we need to be careful!

Ok…feeling really under the weather. I’d dodged all of Emily’s and John’s illnesses so far and now that no one’s sick I get sick!!

I really, literally don’t know what tomorrow entails. That woman seemed so smug and confident tonight when she was getting the 3 older kids in the car. I hate those people. I feel completely lost and I’m almost fighting completely alone. Tomorrow I will be alone. This is probably not making any sense, but I needed to vent.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention: Internet, I’m getting divorced.

I went into my bedroom, where Alaethia’s watching Ni-Hao Kai-Lan and Emily’s sleeping, and Alaethia asked me, “Mom? When can I grow up?”

I smile and tell her, “Never!”

She says, “Mom, please! I need to go to school!”

I tell her, “You’ll grow up, slowly. And you’ll go to school in a year.”

She says, “Good. And then I can say bad words?”

I laugh and say, “No! You can’t say bad words till…you’re ALL grown up. Like me.” –because I’m sure she was thinking Hey! But you say bad words!

And after thinking it over a bit she says, “Okay. And when I grow up I can reach the snacks in top shelves, too.” She’s too funny! I wonder what else goes through that little 3-year-old mind of hers!
