Quick Update

Quick summary of the past few days…

Tuesday…Mary invited us over for dinner–enchiladas. Yadira and the girls came over. I made chocolate covered strawberries for dessert *yum*. Rick and Terry called Mario and said they said they were at the lake so we went over for a visit. I took Cookie, whom they thought was adorable. Mario helped them get their travel trailer parked and we just talked. They invited us to dinner, but since we had to go home, bathe the boys real quick and feed them, we politely declined and made plans to meet at their house to catch up and meet their new Labrador puppies. Was totally fun. The boys had a blast playing with all the huge cats, ferrets, rabbit, pig, and the 5 dogs. Jaylen was amazed at Hoover, the pig. The ferrets were too cute (one attacked me leg and tried to climb up my shorts LOL) and the rabbit was HUGE! They let him run around the house like the rest of the pets and he uses his litter box! So does the pig LOL. The Labrador puppies were too cute…the chocolate one had green eyes and was SO pretty. I’m hoping we can get one. The chocolate one also kept biting the front of the boys’ shirts and then tugging and growling at them. It was hilarious watching Jaylen run, waving his arms in the air and yelling, “NO DOGGIE! LEAVE ME ALONEEE!!” LOL It was a really nice time. We made plans to visit again soon and have a barbecue or something.

After that we went to Jorge and Maggie’s, but didn’t stay long because it was late and the boys were grumpy. Mario and Maggie were the only ones who got to play darts . I was so disappointed, but there’s always another time.

Yesterday we rearranged the room and made room for the chest Aunt Nora gave us. Eenan was in desperate need of a new one…he has lots of clothes. We painted the wall that Jaylen decorated with a blue marker a few months ago . We also started separating stuff for another garage sale. This time, Mom will be selling the stuff she won’t be taking with her to Aunt Nora’s or putting away in storage and Aunt Nora will be bringing things to sell also. We figured how we’d separate our huge bedroom into the two bedrooms and hallway–when funds permit of course. We’d still have pretty good sized rooms. I was getting a bit frustrated with Mario saying I needed to get rid of my 8 foot while shelf, but after seeing how upset I got he said we’d keep the huge shelf in the hallway…it would fit perfectly. I can’t wait.

Mario went over to Tommy’s later and came back with a picture of Eenan, Angela and a friend of Eenan’s that Tommy had taken during lunch. They had an “Eat with your kid” thing during their lunch time and we didn’t even know about it! I was so upset. I was going to watch a movie with Mario and was so upset about it I just went straight to bed. I wish Eenan (or his teacher even, I spoke to her and she didn’t mention anything!) had told us something about it .

Today, we had to go pick Noelia up because her car left her stranded. One less car. The only one we have left is John’s. Then, we called to storage places to get price quotes. I feel bad Mom will have to put stuff away and sell the rest . I think of how much hard earned money she spent buying her stuff and now she has to get rid of it or put it away. I hope this “good news” for the family happens soon. It seems too good to be true though. But something good will happen…it has to.

Jaylen was running outside this morning and sliced a piece of skin off his big toe. It looks so painful. He’s doing ok though…I just hope it heals ok…I thought it maybe needed stiches or something but Mario said it would be fine. He knows about that stuff more than I do so…

OK…Jaylen’s grumpy and on my lap. Oh, and Cookie may be a boy. I checked his privates today and they’re looking more “boy” like .

I wish I could have seen the dogs & the boys.. I definetly would have died laughing.
