Still on the Streak
I had a lot of things to accomplish in order to get ready for my event, which was on Sunday, the 20th. I had to make absolutely sure I had my professional face painter, make sure payments were being turned in for booths, and either email or call the exhibitors so that I could get a count for the badges they’d need, which were being really pushed on us this year so that was added stress. I had to tell myself to do things a little at a time and have a physical to-do list or I was going to start becoming overwhelmed.
I was relieved when it was lunchtime. I was staying in and had an iceberg salad with tomato and basil tuna and a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese with one small package of wheat crackers. I looked for recipes, because I really wanted to make my own lentil soup and chicken salad. I found two pretty good ones and made a stop at H-E-B after work to pick up a few things I didn’t have.
I got home and was greeted by a happy Emmos, which is the best way to get home from work :). We did our girl thing, where we change and talk about nail polishes and so on :). We went to the kitchen and I got to work on dinner. John had been visiting so he got to have some lentil soup and chicken salad, too. He was impressed, so that’s a pretty good compliment, heh.
We put Emily to bed and Mom stayed with her while we went for a jog at the park. Jogging’s quickly becoming one of my favorite things :). And this time, we jogged almost all the laps! We’d have a break here and there, mainly when I was getting that darn stitch in my side. My ribs and abs were SO SORE last week, so I was hoping for the same great workout again :).
We were almost out of the park when we started talking about a certain subject…and we had a little lover’s quarrel, heh. We got over it fast, but it amuses me how alike we are. We get upset or angry fast, we say our sarcastic remarks and quickly feel bad about it and ask for forgiveness LOL. I don’t like fighting
.
