Lonely Half-Friday
It feels like such a slow day today *sigh*. They’re having a sale at Mario’s workplace so he had to go in at least half a day. It’s so weird when he’s not here on Friday. Usually, after I drop the kids off at school I come back home and we take a nap together. And I just realized I’m missing Days of Our Lives!
Anyway, the supposed cold front that was coming in this morning was a bit of a fart in the air–it’s so not cold outside. It’s supposed to be in the 50’s tomorrow morning but I highly doubt that. I wish we’d get a good cold front.
See how bored I am? I’m talking about the weather! Blah.
Well, Jaylen’s doing better with the whole cold/cough thing. Mrs. T. told me she’s seen a big difference. I’m so glad. His cough must have settled down a bit since he passed it on to me. It’s a dry, smoker’s-type cough. I need to get some Robitussin or Dimetapp DM (the only things I can take) before it gets worse. Maybe later on today when we go to town after Mario gets home. Just 3 more hours!
Eenan had UIL practice (twice) yesterday and his coach realized something: he’s easily distracted. I coulda told you that. She says maybe that’s why he didn’t place during their 1st meet on Saturday, because the older kids purposely distract them. I don’t know what to do to keep the little guy’s attention on someone/thing. I have that problem myself at home!
Okay, Days is getting good so I shall go now.
I hope that he does better in the next UIL meets. I hope that it’s not that cold in the morning because we have our first UIL meet. I am glad to hear that you all are doing well. Take care! I had missed your updates.
