How a Lazy Sunday Should Be

I have about a month’s worth of entries pending, but if I keep updating weekly for only a week at a time then I’m never going to catch up. So, since I have tomorrow off (yay!), the girls are at Mario’s this weekend so I have no one to bathe or drop off in the morning (super weird), Jorgie & Justin are sleeping and Jorge is being entertained by a Van Damme movie, I figured why not update on time for once? 🙂

I went to sleep earlyish last night after our BBQ. I woke up at 9am when Ruffles was chattering at a fly and I couldn’t go back to sleep. I sat up in bed just in time to watch him jump 5 feet in the air, smacked the fly, caught it and then ate it. My own personal fly swatter :). Just remind me not to kiss him on the nose anymore .

My love was still sleeping soundly so I checked Facebook and then I checked on my site. I was greeted by loud yellow and red text and a black background. My website was hacked! By a supposed Bangladeshi group. First time in 10+ years with this domain that my site has actually been hacked. There was that one time some idiot attempted to hack my site a few months ago, but he was totally busted–and who knows, maybe this was related to that somehow–but wow. Someone took the time to hack me LOL. I’m glad this group was nice enough to leave everything intact, though .

I fixed everything and then I started reading other blogs. Jorge woke up to my giggling as I was reading this blog that I came across in one of Vic’s friend’s comments. Everyone should read that on a Sunday morning :), hilarious!

We heard a loud banging on the roof; we couldn’t believe it. We’ve had roofers at the house since last Monday, fixing our hail-battered roof. Nobody came by yesterday but the owner of the company came by today to finish up some stuff. Since Jorge knew it was the end of his slumber and Mom had made us coffee (the smell was wafting through the house to our bedroom), we got up. I prepared our coffees with French vanilla creamer and we went outside with our coffee cups to greet the man. We chit-chatted and we came inside. Jorge sat with the boys a while then he went to buy some chips while I made him his Sunday omelet and I made myself some egg whites with veggies. And I also made some cilantro dip I’d been craving for a while now.

Breakfast!

I wish the photo was prettier, but ehhh that’ll do :).

We lazied around in the living room and watched Adventure Time with the boys for a while. That cartoon is just so weird! All the kids like it. Whatever happened to Dexter’s Lab and Powerpuff Girls!?

Anyway, we showered afterwards, lazied some more and then it was lunch time. I made some tuna sandwiches and Parmesan pasta. We discussed movies to watch and I brought up how we haven’t watched a romance/romantic comedy in a long time. So he ordered “The Vow” LOL. It was just as I expected it to be: sad and lovely! Even Jorge got teary-eyed in some bits, aww! I was straight-up bawling by the end, heh. To think it was based on true events! I told Jorge during the movie, “Well, if I ever lose my memory at least you know I’ve blogged about my whole life so you can have me read it!”

Jorge ran to the bedroom after the movie and was pretending to be asleep…and then he ended up falling asleep for real LOL. I called my kiddos and had a chat with them for a while. Eenan told me about how his cat was not a Jack, but a Jackie LOL. Jaylen told me about the same thing and reminded me about his assembly. Alaethia said she had something for me, aww! And my Emmos was reluctant to speak on the phone, which used to make me feel bad but she does that to Mario and his Mom when she’s in her moods, too, so no hard feelings LOL. But, oh how I miss my babies :(. This feels like the longest weekend for some reason. I’m glad I get to see them tomorrow, before I pick them up on Thursday .

Jorge woke up about 10 minutes later and we went outside on the back porch. We cleaned up a pile of planks and plywood that had been dumped in the corner of our backyard since we moved in. Since the roofers left a trailer with junk on it, we moved the planks onto it. Well, Jorge did most of it; I helped with the smaller boards :P.

We watched Adventure Time with the boys, again, because that was their show of choice LOL. I started on dinner, which was tortilla soup :D! All the guys were excited about this; I hadn’t made it since winter, I think. I was proud of myself; I cooked all weekend! Well, with the exception of last night’s dinner, which was BBQ’d by my love :).

Dinner! Tortilla soup

The boys kept thanking me for the soup, it was so cute :).

And then the boys went to bed and we started watching the Van Damme movie. We wanted ice cream, so we went on a 30-minute search for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, which ended with us making the trip to Walmart we were trying to avoid in the first place .

Late-night snacks :3

And now my stomach is happy and overly-full and I feel like I had a gallon of coffee . I’m so glad I don’t work tomorrow :D!
