Pity Party

I’m starting to think that maybe this whole school thing wasn’t such a good idea. Don’t get me wrong; I’m thrilled about going and I love what I’m learning, but I can’t think good thoughts and be happy about it when I’m not sure how we’re going to make it through the two weeks till Mario’s next paycheck. At this point, I’m not even sure how we’re going to buy groceries.

Mario was expecting a nice, hefty check this pay period. He’d done a big system in a Jeep and then he and Albert worked on that airplane. He made about $250 less than what we anticipated he’d make. I need to pay my damn tuition payment, which is $125. That money could go towards groceries, or things we need around the house. I was so excited when Mrs. C-R was telling us about our Word Expert Certificate exam. The best score is a 1000 and a passing score is 630. I’m almost positive I can pass it, not exactly with a 1000, but I can pass. She also said she’d give students who got a 1000 $25 out of her own pocket. She then told us if we pass all 4 parts of the test (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) we get our Masters as a Microsoft Specialist. THEN, she told us how much it would be to take the test: $70-$85. Doesn’t sound like too much, but when you’ve got all these other bills…

I seriously don’t know how we’re gonna do it . I started bawling my eyes out while we were talking with Mary and instead of Mario being compassionate and understaning he yells, “Don’t start. You’re pissing me off. I already told you I’d take care of it.” Real nice.

AND THEN, Aunt Nora and everyone else told Mom they don’t want Jaylen going over there. I don’t know why, but they don’t. If we ever get into the CCMS program, we were going to drop Jaylen off over there and Mom would watch him and she’d get paid for it (and she could finally quit her job). John and I could go to school together and all would be peachy. But, as luck would have it, things never seem to work out for me. I’m really pissed at Aunt Nora.

*sigh* Anyway, enough of that.

We got our study guides back…I got a 92 :), which is pretty darn good considering a lot of the class got 60’s. We did a quick review of Chapter 10, the last chapter before our exams on Tuesday. It’s safe to say I forgot every single thing. Mrs. C-R spent so much time getting some students “on the same page” that by the time she got to the next section, I’d already forgotten how to do the previous. Good thing I copied the files onto my jump drive; I’ll study them here at home this weekend.

I helped Mrs. C-R install Word 2003 to Lucy’s laptop and Mayra’s computer. Ricci and I didn’t leave school till 1. Went to pick up Mario’s check, cashed/deposited it at the bank (and almost side-swiped someone on the way there because my dumbass self always gets into the farthest lane instead of the closest. Mario constantly tells me not to do that and now I know why ), took $100 back to Mario for lunch, gas, and whatever else, went to H-E-B to get some pretty flowers for Mom since it’s her birthday, took them to her at work (she loved them !) and then we finally came home. I got down at Ricci’s to say hi to her grandma and we talked for a bit. I didn’t even get to call Rejeana to get directions to her house to go see Renetta and her new baby! I feel so bad. Gotta jot it down and remember to go see them.

I guess that’s it. I’ve done my bitching for today. Gonna TRY and watch XXX State of the Union with Mario and John. I feel so tired and sleepy already. Gotta wake up at 7:30 to go exchange Eenan’s clothes (we went yesterday, but Jaylen threw the most embarrassing fit on the floor of JCPenny, so we came home). I was supposed to get a haircut, but I don’t think I will. Eenan definetly needs one; gotta go do that too. I don’t even feel like going to the wedding anymore. Everyone’s gonna be all glammed up (nails done, hair styled/some highlighted) and I’m going to look like absolute crap. Blah, we also gotta go to Circuit City and get a few bucks back (thank GOD).

I never just get to CHILL OUT.

Updating from School! Buahahaha

I’m here at school right now. Sort of a free hour since I finished today’s assignment yesterday–cheater, I know :P. I’m writing this in a tiny Notepad window and will transfer it to GM during my break since we can’t be on the internet during “class”.

Things have been going pretty good. School’s fun. The drive to and from isn’t as lonely since Ricci goes with me :).

Friday, I donated blood (did I mention that already?) and I’ve got the huge bruise to prove it. The nurse moved the needle to the side while it was in my arm and said, “It might bruise a little, okay?”

“A little’s” an understatement! I look like a heroin addict ! I did get a T-shirt and a $5 gift card to the movies though .

Saturday was spent getting the last minute things together for Eenan’s party. We had Eenan’s “official” party on Sunday at Municipal Park in McAllen. I spent most of the day and night painting those blasted Yu-gi-oh’s, which I didn’t even get a picture of! I’ve still got 4 unpainted ones at home, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to paint them anytime soon. Mary picked mom up that afternoon since she’d be spending the night at the house to attend Eenan’s party.

The next day we woke up early and Mom, Mario, Jaylen and I gobbled up a quick breakfast at Whataburger and went to the movies.

Jaylen and I had already watched The Fantastic Four, but Mario and Mom hadn’t so we watched that one. There were a few things I missed the first time, since I kept having to get after Eenan who insisted on running into the isle .

We went back home and finished getting everything ready. Ricci was going to go to the party with us, but called and said she wouldn’t be able to make it. About 30 minutes before we left, she called and said she was on her way so we could leave together. Yay :). Eenan and Mom went with Mary and John (who was complaining about having to go), Ricci, her daughters, Jaylen, Mario and I went together. And we all fit!

Mary had gotten some great tables at the park, under shade and everything. Everyone got there and Mario, Noelia and Andy went to get the pizzas at Little Ceasar’s, which was a block away. It was nice. The kids all had a blast running rampant around the park. Eenan and Jaylen got along wonderfully with Belinda, Ricci’s eldest daughter. They had fun hitting the piñata, eating cake and Eenan loved all his presents. There was a moment where all the kids suddenly needed to go to the bathroom, but there was no way we’d be letting them go to the public restrooms there–they were disgusting. Let’s just say there was a mound of human poop smoldering in the hot sun outside the women’s restroom…so you can imagine how gross the inside of the bathrooms were! We ended up walking a block down to Circle K since Jaylen and Belinda couldn’t stand it anymore.

We went to Wal-Mart after the party since Ricci needed to pick something up for her little girl and got Eenan a gift he loved (a Blue Eyes White Dragon toy) and then we went to drop Mom off.

The next day Ricci and I came to school and after school we went to Mary’s office to pick up an insurance card, got the plates for the Prelude (the woman who attended me was a total witch!), then we went to the bank. After that, we picked her girls up and went back to my house to chill out. We watched a movie, Bruce Almighty, while I made lunch (chicken with celery gravy and garlic potatoes), and then we watched two more movies (50 First Dates and The Notebook). When dinner time came around, Ricci made a fabulous dinner of shrimp and rice–it was SO good. She even washed dishes and made tea, and it all took her about 30-45 MINUTES! I’m such a slow poke–that would have taken me 2 hours to do .

Yesterday was our friend Mayra’s birthday. Before we got to school in the morning, Ricci and I stopped by Wal-mart to pick up some cookies and drinks. Mayra brought a cake and after class we went to the lounge and had a little party. (We had to do 1 page report on the Three Branches of Government. We got our info from the internet–I can’t believe how long it took me. I hadn’t written anything like that in about 6 years!) It was nice. Rosie, Lucy, Ricci, Mayra, Joe and even Mrs. C-R ate together and talked. Mrs. C-R told us we’re a great class *pops collar*.

I dropped Ricci off, then went home, fed the kids, got them ready and we took John to the doctor. His chest pains–nothing serious, probably a muscle acting up. He got an EKG and everything. He got a physical, got blood drawn, and we told the doctor about his depression and he’ll be seeing a psychiatrist in November, maybe sooner if we can get the date moved up. I just hope they don’t fuck him up even more .

I hope I can get a chance to clean today! After we got home from the doctor yesterday I spent the remainder of the day (till 8pm to be exact) editing/colorzing some pictures of tattoos for Cuate, Mario and Jose. Mario wants to get another tattoo and Cuate’s gonna do it for him. Oy.

I have so much crap to do at home. I’m hoping to finish quickly and then get some rest! We don’t have school on Friday, but I highly doubt I’ll just get to veg out on the couch and do nothing all day. It’s good to dream though .

Eenan’s 6th Birthday

Today my first born child turned 6. 6 years ago today I was in labor for 31 hours LOL. I can’t believe he’s 6 already ! He’s so big already; time passes by way too quickly.

Mario and I gave him his gift from us and the one from Mom. We got him a Pokemon Ruby game for his Gameboy SP and Mom got him a Pokemon toy (he’s still VERY into Pokemon…longest going obsession so far). He was thrilled. Since the son that isn’t having a birthday tends to feel left out, we always get him a present, too, so we got Jaylen 2 Ninja Turtle toys.

Since Elda and the boys and Tommy aren’t here (they went to Arizona to pack the rest of their stuff) and Mario didn’t have the day off, we’ll be celebrating his birthday next week on Sunday. Today, we took him to the movies to watch The Fantastic Four, which was okay, and then we went to Peter Piper Pizza where all the kids played. He had fun. We got back and had some chocolate cake Mary made and we sang him Happy Birthday and he blew out his candles. Mary gave him his gift from her and Big Mario, which was Metroid Prime Echoes, or Echo, one of those. I hope he had a good day. We usually celebrate at Gorilla George’s, which is his favorite place ever, but the darn place is closed while they relocate . He’s playing his game right now so I think he’s having a pretty good time .

School’s been going pretty good. Learn something new everyday and it’s really easy. One of the guys in our class had asked me during one of our breaks, “Can I ask you something?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“How fast do you type?”

“Um. I’m really not sure. Why do you ask?”

“Because I’m doing my work and all I hear is ‘DRRRRRRRRRRRRRR’ and I look around and it’s always you.”

That made me feel pretty good *beams*. I love typing!

I feel so tired. I can’t sleep during the week when I have school, yet last night I slept so well. It’s making me get really irritated . I actually took a nap yesterday for about 45 minutes. Mario called in, *tsk* *tsk*. We went grocery shopping and rented movies and we actually stayed within our budget! Next month is when I start paying one of my school loans so that’s gonna suck. It’s 10…gotta wake up early tomorrow and go to Mexico with the mom-in-law to buy the candies and Piñata for Eenan’s party next week. Then we have to go to Mom’s for a bit. Then I hope I can go to sleep early for school the next day.
